The Infanta Dona Elena de Aguilas Auditorium by Barozzi Veiga, a Spanish architecture studio, is a special response to the nature offered by its site. On the one hand, there is a need to respect the organization within the city; On the other hand, there is a need to preserve the colours expressed in the natural landscape.
It is through this contrast that the studio defines and clarifies the design point of view, analyzes the tension between the building and the site, and enables the project to be effectively organized while making a coherent response to the constraints of the site. Architecture is a dialectic reflection between man and organic nature, simple but strong.
As a result, the building becomes a large volume, surrounded by functional Spaces with different characteristics and tension. Its facade is tangent to the town, clean and orderly; The facade, tangent to the sea, transforms the configuration provided by the surrounding space, landscape and geography through its large, concave surface, and has a direct and dense relationship with the surrounding natural environment.
