Located in Cape Town, South Africa, 90 kilometers north of the west coast of a luxury villa, by the Australian interior design studio Gavin Maddock design. This stylish villa is on the edge of a Marine nature reserve, while Gavin Maddock takes advantage of the seascape and coastal dunes to create a private passageway with a calm, low-key sense of luxury.
The concrete surface references the natural rugged environment of the coast, while the coloured gypsum brick structure, with the same colour on the inside and outside, provides a relaxed holiday feel, which was the conceptual goal in early discussions with the client. Luxury is shown through the choice of fine wood furniture and stone. The fireplaces and televisions in each suite are integrated into the cabinets to ensure the minimalist integrity of the space. This is further enhanced by a glass wall separating the suites from the bedrooms in the upper suite.
