For a young couple, designer Jannat Vasi created a personal oasis in the midst of a noisy metropolis. Customers bought the desert space and decided to build full-fledged apartments there. The designer was faced with the task of preserving the facade of the house and at the same time creating a modern superstructure with a private terrace.

Such a difficult project had an obvious advantage: Jannat Vasi had complete freedom in planning the apartment. She took this opportunity and tried to fill the apartments with air and natural light as much as possible. So, despite the hidden engineering networks, the height of the ceilings was almost 5 m, and the eastern part of the apartment was left without an external wall. It was replaced by sliding glass partitions that blur the barrier between the interior and the open-air terrace.

The palette throughout the interior is dominated by calm gray tones. Against their background, relief textures and surfaces made of various materials look especially advantageous. Jannat Vasi covered the entire floor of the apartment with bluish marble with orange veins. The floor sets the dynamics: graphic curving stripes resemble the river flow. In front of a single white wall, Jannat placed a statue of a blue horse from Phillips Antiques, which, adds oriental influences to the interior and balances between the traditions of the East and the modern design of the West.
