Stage by Godiva is a premium cafe and dessert course bar newly introduced by the long- established chocolate brand Godiva.Labotory designed Stage by Godiva in hopes of being able to deliver new special contents and experiences that go beyond the value of the brand.Labotory considered this space to be the new stage that conveys the value and feelings of the experience unique to Stage by Godiva.

By focusing on the keyword, stage, Labotory tried to create the scenes of the various emotions intersecting within the space through the concept “Scene of Cinematic.”It was designed in hopes of being able to feel the various alterations of emotions led by heart fluttering anticipation and which sometimes can be passionate, sometimes lyrical and sometimes a genuine pure joy and deep impressions that lingered on.

In order to express the diverse emotions, the three divided sections were allocated according to their functions and each was given its own spatial experience.First, it is the causal caffeine dramatic zone.It is an imposing space withholding the Mise-en-scène of the curiosity-stimulating Stage by Godiva. 

Second, it is the dissolve zone which is the connection point of the space between the casual cafe and the fine dining.It plays the role of naturally interacting the two different scenes and their harmonious transition. It shows the sequence of the various emotional changes and provides the emotional transition for the connection of the scenes.

Third, it is the fine dining space, the climax zone. This space is the core of Stage by Godiva where the experience and emotions reach at the pinnacle.Through the drastic structures and the concentration of the lights, Labotory wanted to express heightened sense of immersion and the explosion of the compressed experience and emotions.

Labotory designed a spatial mechanism to leave an afterimage and to organically connect each of the spaces through these three spatial languages.As such, by providing to the customers who come to Stage by Godiva to the selective joy of the variant emotions according to their preferences, Labotory hope that the act of coming to the space can convey the experiential feeling of coming to see a play.
