Located on a secluded rocky cove on the Greek island of Serifos, this sloping house was designed by local firm Mold Architects. The studio applied a rectangular grid on the slope to produce a three-dimensional "checkerboard" that accommodates and at the same time isolates the living areas. This strict geometry stops with the rotation of the final axis of the grid, which provides a greater view of the living area. The movement of the axis significantly enhances the sense of perspective, so that the imprint of the house is minimal at the end of the ascending concept.
