Nanka Architecture Design is an interior design company located in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. It was co-founded by Jiang Zhifeng and Jiang Jifang and specializes in designing luxury residences and high-end commercial projects. They do not confine themselves to a specific style and treat each project as a work of art. Life is art, it cannot be replicated, and it cannot be started anew.
Red and Black
In this project, the main color scheme is a combination of red and black. Inspired by the novel "The Red and the Black" by French writer Stendhal, where red represents passion and black represents darkness, the design creates a unique wooden store. The designer's intention was to transform it into an art gallery, where the entire space is constantly harmonizing and contrasting, merging and separating.
Circle and Arc
A skylight is designed at the central position, serving as a focal point for the entire space, guiding the flow towards each area. The design of arched doorways creates a playful sense of uncertainty, lightness, and elegance. The smooth curves often evoke a unique and timeless beauty that never ceases to captivate.
Light and Form
All the geometric forms, natural material textures, and dim lighting are employed to enhance an expressive emotional appeal. The experience of the space is akin to appreciating a marvelous concert, both mysterious and beautifully captivating.
Collisions and Interweaving
The creative use of texture presents artistic paint in the form of skylights, colliding with the artistic paint on the floor. It emerges at the intersection of sunlight and structure, showcasing a poetic interplay between structure, lighting, and the subject. This interaction imbues the entire space with an artistic sensibility.
