Pattern is an interior design studio based in Byron Bay, Australia. Founded in 2016 by designers Josh Cain and Lily Goodwin, Pattern has been working for local and international clients in retail, fashion event production and residential design. A new perspective.

Lily Goodwin and Josh Cain are partners in life, Goodwin studied interior architecture in Perth before landing a job at HASSELL, while Cain started out by helping build houses for friends and family before also working there too.

In a dynamic and progressive model, Pattern is committed to providing the highest standards of sophistication, consideration and sensitive design. The sensitivity of their carefully crafted “custom” practices is evident in their growing portfolio.

Behind the high fantasy and lighthearted whimsy of Pattern Studio’s work lies a deep consideration for functionality and detailing. Just two years into business, this unique, layered approach has garnered the studio international acclaim with an Honourable Mention at the INDE.Awards 2018.
