Zozaya Arquitectos

Renowned Mexican architect Enrique Zozaya founded Zozaya Arquitectos Architects in 1986. After 2015, his son Daniel Zozaya joined the team as a partner. The original intention of the firm was to design a unique and innovative architectural work, focusing on the sustainability of the building and making it integrate with nature, so as to reduce excessive interference.

Enrique Zozaya was born in Mexico City and studied architecture at the University of La Salle from 1973 to 1979. His architectural works are not confined to traditional design principles, but based on the observation of daily details, such as climate, natural landscape and site environment, to create a space in harmony with the environment through natural wind, light and color. In the design of a private residence or hotel project, a distinct personal symbol is incorporated, highlighting local customs, lifestyles and local aesthetics.

Daniel Zozaya was also born in Mexico City and studied architecture at the University of Ibero-America from 2010 to 2015. Since joining the company, he has injected fresh blood to the company, such as the implementation of new technologies, new materials, digital design. Under the influence and guidance of his father, he learned how to observe, transform and innovate, and to create an effective balance between tradition and modernity, and gradually formed his own unique design style.
