Located in the heart of Singapore's Great World City, 932 Designs' Second Nature's Second Hideaway, the central area of Singapore, envisions a retail for one to glimpse into a familiar and calm environment free from the city. The interior design draws on the tangible and other intangible things, evoking the second nature of people. Experience moments of simple luxury, similar to the stories and lifestyles of people's second nature.
The project narrates an intimate experience for one, enjoying a sensorial walk into nature, strolling through the meandering path into the green, and discovering pockets of surprises and oasis of nature. A tranquil moment for one. A Hideaway.
The interior features a simple palette: light, materiality, curves, and pockets of oasis. The retail is welcomed by two ingresses and zoned into three courtyards. The oak portal entrances experiment an interplay of rectilinear envelopes and continuous panes that curves extending into the courtyards.
The off-white stucco walls as a neutral backdrop that complements the light oak wall with soft lighting that surrounds the interior. An oasis sits in the center of the courtyard featuring of apparel and visual merchandize. A simple gesture of placing the bench at the entrance invites the guests to the Second Hideaway.
