Saya Park, set in a forest in South Korea's Gyeongsang Province, includes an art gallery with a matching chapel and observation deck. The buildings don’t belong to the site; instead, they carve out their own site.
The gallery building revises the site and adapted itself to it. At the same time, the people who use it will also be involved in the beauty of the building. Entering the gallery is like entering a sculpture, which draws us in and allows us to feel space, light, shadow, time and change of experience. At the end of the road, an infinite picture of nature awaits us.
The forest path winds between tall, rough and elegantly formed concrete walls.
