Russian design studio Babayants Architects has designed a private house in Moscow, Russia, which is inspired by the desert landscape. For a house in the city, the idea and conception of the desert theme are both surprising and unique. As a result, the designers borrowed the sandy colour expression and used warm grey for large areas of the interior, a comfortable and balanced colour that forms the basic hue of the 130-square-metre house.
Part of the Silver Fountains' Windows overlook the courtyard, but it is surrounded by other buildings, resulting in low light, so Babayants Architects had to work with the lack of natural light to create a complex space.
In designing the house, the studio eschewbright colors, opting instead for a light, warm hue for contrast and working on subtle combinations of details. All this because they know that a small mistake, can make the color immediately dirty, make the visual "purity" disappear.
