House in Tres Rios

The House in Tres Rios project evokes different ways of expressing architecture in specific ways in response to context. As the simplest house in the neighborhood, it doesn't need to be decorated with different materials. Its quality lies in its monochrome color. The solid volumes embedded between the walls appear to float, as if trying to find a sense of lightness in their heavy state. At the same time it shrinks to become slightly invisible, but inevitably destroys the plasticity of the surroundings through contrast of color, shape and texture.

The house is built on a long, wide plot with patios and terraces open to the house, all Spaces always facing the closed and isolated exterior. The patio has the quality of privacy and quiet without losing its exterior condition, these are the most excellent meditation Spaces, and its condition enables them to be enjoyed from the interior space as well as from the outside. Its only window was made up of a horizontal opening and a zenith opening, both looking at the same point, as if two eyes were looking out of the same lock at the same time, opening the whole window in turn, and shielding itself from the southern sun.

The constancy of the patio and exterior is enhanced as the qualities of the patio and exterior fall on the texture, color and vegetation. Its lack of color and texture serves as a blank canvas inside. The atmosphere of the house comes from the colors. Between the pink patios that jump and enter the house, and directly with the yellow lights overhead combine with the pink, and average the tone on these neutral surfaces. As a result, a soft and warm atmosphere is created that changes with the natural light and time of day. These tones are modulated by small blue Windows to accentuate color changes and complement warm tones. Two double-storey heights interweave and connect the whole house. When entering and looking up, the gaze disappears, the house is lengthened, the sense of narrowness is obscured, and its condition finds a fresh spatial quality.
