Claude Cartier Décoration has designed a luxury restaurant in the French city of Lyon, La Foret Noire, a whimsical eatery with a unique modern design.
This industrial space with an 18th century aesthetic serves as the starting point for the interior design project. It inspired the designer to come up with the name, Black Forest, which has a double meaning: landscape and dessert.
It all started with the wallpaper and decor of Midsummer Nights, which immediately attracted Claude Cartier. The wallpaper highlights charming elements such as brass details, with a subtle combination of green velvet chairs that enhance the black and white graphic marble floor. Marie Lise Fery's lighting for Magic Circus makes the place glow.
Behind huge black oak doors, in a retentive space where leaves soak the floor, Claude Cartier studio created a brightly coloured, bold carpet for Pierre Frey by talented Dimore Studio.
