Designed by design studio Decus Interior, the Cove Home exudes serenity in a prime location on Sydney's coast, shaded by a traditional eucalyptus tree. The redesign of the design studio brings harmony and seamless integration between the building, interior and environment.
With an emphasis on natural light and materials, The Cove House embodies contemporary and complex Australian life through a quiet and layered design. To allow as much light as possible, a glass dome was added above the formal dining area, the entire ceiling was deliberately raised, and a 13m-high sliding glass door was installed to connect the interior with the spectacular ocean views outside.
To cater to the client's love of entertainment, the terrace features an outdoor bar and a pizza oven, while inside, a second work area is hidden behind the main kitchen bench, complete with another storage room, wine fridge, sink and custom cabinetry, which were also designed by Decus Interiors.
In the living area, a serene hue provides a friendly backdrop for curated artwork, furniture and objects, adds rich texture to each space, and a spacious wardrobe adds interest to the space. With the house cleverly raised to embrace and reflect its glorious surroundings, Decus Interior Design created a livable home for the owners, ensuring that it can easily meet the needs of its occupants for years to come.
