Apartment in Minsk

Interiors Houses Belarus 2023-05-11

This apartment is situated in the premium residential complex of "Olympic Park" in the city of Minsk. The complex comprises of small-scale residential buildings (5-6 floors) and is located in an ecologically pristine area, adjacent to a natural reserve. The owners of the apartment, a young couple. They wanted a modern interior with character, utilizing deep tones, various textures, and finishes.

Initially, this was a new apartment without any internal partitions, only designated wet areas, with a fairly well-proportioned layout. The floor plan was pre-planned, so the apartment's initial layout completely met the clients' needs. On a 100 m2 area, it was necessary to accommodate an entrance hall, a combined kitchen-living room area, a guest bedroom, a guest bathroom, a home office, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a kid's room.

Creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere is crucial for Eugenia Mlynchik in every project Eugenia Mlynchik undertake. Eugenia Mlynchik aimed to convey this feeling even with the use of deep tones and concrete surfaces. Working with rich colors was an interesting experience for Eugenia Mlynchik, and Eugenia Mlynchik believe it added depth and character to the space.

The interior is built upon a combination of complex colors, textures, and finishes: concrete, ceramics, tinted bronze mirror, aged decorative plaster, thermally treated wood on wall panels, and stained wood on the floors, in contrast with glossy graphic porcelain stoneware and carpeting (in the bedrooms), metal, and painted MDF. The result is a very harmonious and far from dull mix of materials. The color palette was carefully selected with intention and purpose. Eugenia Mlynchik sought a natural inspiration in each shade, ensuring that the deeper tones were rich and dark without being dreary.

The apartment features furniture and accessories from various European factories, complemented by atmospheric pieces from Belarusian producers that accentuate the ethnic theme inspired by the tropical green color. The first item that set the ethnic theme was the handmade Brazilian dresser in the living room, with its front panels seemingly carved by skilled craftsmen. Then, an original dresser from Zara Home was added in the hallway. Even the Belarusian ceramic pieces unexpectedly took on an ethnic character in this interior.Every detail has been carefully considered, resulting in a space that is truly inviting and charming.
