Coffee became a staple of the Brazilian economy in the mid-18th century, and the search for ideal growing areas spread across the country, making Minas Gerais a major production region. Under this trend, Carmo coffee works on the premise that "quality comes from respect and care throughout the production chain". In order to achieve this goal, the most important tool is to have a correct location to mark the presence of the product and make it a symbol.

The location of the Headquarters Carmo Coffees is located in a strategic area that requires a prominent shape. Thus, with an inward-looking shape, the top opens like a skylight, providing an entrance to sunlight during the day and an expression of internal light at night, the resulting atmosphere is necessarily solemn. This may be the only moment to bring these qualities together to demonstrate the importance of an attitude that affirms the quality of coffee.

On the right, coffee is a precious commodity that goes through various stages of processing. Above it, the jute-covered walls bore the names of farms, producers and heroes. In the background, sublimated translucent coffee beans are the most symbolic expression of this ceremonial setting.

From there, walk in the shadow of a museum-like tunnel: from above, it's a story-telling path to the big warehouse. The micro-plot area below prompts people to stop and think about coffee processing. Lighting controls, graphics and color throughout the warehouse enhance the ambience. On the second floor, the administrative area is designed around a large open courtyard that brings light and relaxation to the office environment.
