A residential building in Zurich, Switzerland, designed by local design studio Hildebrand. The project is dedicated to exploring nature-based design and exploring the relationship between wood and well-being. Inspired by the Japanese bathing culture, the building was created with elaborate craftsmanship to create the atmosphere and to be used for daily celebrations. The texture of the wood, the texture of the stone, the smell of the Japanese bathtub, the natural cast of shadows, the dim lighting of the bathroom -- all these details evoke a particular mood and aesthetic.
