London-based interior designer Hollie Bowden has restored a manor house in the Spanish village of Es Cubells on the island of ibiza. A quiet village, as if time is slowing down. The villa house is not just a place to live, but a luxury paradise for a slow pace of life.
All of Hollie Bowden's projects have timeless aesthetics that are outdated. Her eclectic and pragmatic aesthetic is just right for this spacious villa and house in the estate, allowing people to relax and enjoy the slow pace of life. Hollie Bowden's unique aesthetic approach to design has brought her many residential projects across the archipelago to the spotlight. Prior to this project, Hollie had been researching extensively the wabi-sabi style and certain natural materials to embody this concept.
"It's really special to have so much space, and the layout of the space is unusual," Hollie Bowden said. She describes the house as offering both entertainment and romance. A highlight of the project was Hollie's purchase of an antique fireplace for the central living space. "I procured an incredible 16th-century pre-renaissance limestone fireplace for the living room, which completely transformed the space," she said.
The designer created a blissful balance of old and new, weaving old materials with depth and character in a more contemporary setting. “It was a fine balance of sourcing key and important design pieces and beautiful antiques and unique pieces that wouldn’t detract from the where we placed the art,” she says.
