Located in the heart of the Mareterra district, Marlow's ambience changes throughout the day, oscillating between serenity, conviviality and festivity.Hugo Toro has imagined a world that combines the wooded intimacy of an English-style private club with the generous light of the Mediterranean over 300 m² of indoor space and 100 m² of sunny terrace.
Inspired by late 19th century English literature, Marlow tells the story of Lady M., a fictional British Lady who welcomes her guests into a unique universe. The Marlow experience evolves throughout the day and the evening. British specialities are showcased from breakfast to dinner, from Tea Time to pre-dinner drinks.Every element has been custom designed, from the interior architecture to the lighting, furniture and door handles. The Victorian style, with its fine woods and elegant architecture, blends harmoniously with coral-inspired motifs to create a poetic marine atmosphere.
The Marlow experience revolves around a majestic central bar and offers a variety of spaces: a seafood counter, an intimate private lounge and a music stage for lively evenings. Light plays an essential role, flooding the space with a soft warmth that evolves from sunrise to candlelight.
Refinement is reflected in the careful selection of materials. Decorative patinas, gleaming woods, pink and water-green marbles, Murano glass and solid cast-iron details create a warm, sophisticated environment. These precious materials create an enveloping, travelling atmosphere where every nook and cranny reveals an artistic touch.
At the heart of this elegant universe, Lady M's curio cabinet offers a poetic and cultural interlude. Carefully selected by Hugo Toro, this eclectic collection of rare objects, art books and biographies invites contemplation and discovery.
Marlow pays tribute to British elegance, as well as to the first customers who frequented Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer establishments more than 160 years ago. This warm and sophisticated venue welcomes customers in the stylish and relaxed atmosphere of an English club. It serves English specialities and cocktails at any time of day and evening.
