Ileana Moro is a Costa Rican born multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Antwerpen, Belgium. Formally trained in architecture, she soon found art to be a cathartic way to explore and communicate creatively the emotions buried within her.
Moro’s artworks are recognized mainly for her painting in dark tones wanting to expose the depths and layers of experiences as an instinctive relationship to the invisible things and the emotions buried within her daily life. Some represent abstract themes and isolated forms interacting within each other to archieve an intimate emotional issues, mental statements and spiritual transfiguration to awaken the soul, the unseen.
Seeking to achieve a balance through the transformation from shadow to light believing that the shadow is a dark omen. Inviting the viewer to engage and find light through the darkness.
