British architect John Pawson is the flagship store of Valextra in Milan, a space that traditionally blends its luxury leather products with the worlds of design, art and architecture each year.

After working with creative designers such as Snarkitecture and Kengo Kuma, the brand has partnered with Pawson to create a long-term interpretation of the store that combines minimalism, clean elegance and minimalist restrained luxury with the designer's own spatial philosophy.

The gallery-like shop is characterized by its limited use of color and light, while its design is based on a series of combinations, with suspension finished in plaster that blends in with the existing Ceppo di GRE flooring.

In the back, the floating element is replaced by a large scale table that visually locks the space, and a series of mirrors provide images of the surrounding environment, enhancing the openness at the heart of Pawson's work.
