Jun Igarashi Architects, a local architecture and interior design studio, designed Isono Sushi, a traditional Japanese restaurant in Hokkaido. Hokkaido is the northernmost island in Japan, the second largest region in Japan, where cool summers are surrounded by cold winters from the Pacific Ocean. Due to its geographical features, the island is rich in exquisite seafood and vegetation, so there are a large number of sushi restaurants throughout the area. Among the many sushi restaurants, Isono combines traditional sushi making techniques with modern interior design.
