Following the Rosewood Hong Kong and Rosewood Bangkok, on September 10th, the new menber, Rosewood Hotel in Guangzhou opened a new legend. As the tallest hotel in mainland China, Rosewood Guangzhou is a breathtaking architectural marvel – a symbol of refinement and taste in the heart of the Tianhe District.
Rosewood Guangzhou is located on the 16th floor of the Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre. The building is also designed by the design firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates，who designed the structures of Rosewood Hong Kong and Rosewood Bangkok . As Guangzhou’s tallest building, the Chow Thai Fook (CTF) Finance Centre demonstrates the alignment of supertall design with cultural, environmental, and contextual sensitivity. Completed in 2016, the 530-meter-tall CTF Finance Centre is represents the region's recent prosperity and urban growth.
The tower’s multiple programs instruct its unique form while maintaining dialogue with the city’s architectural identity. Vertical massing steps accommodate the changing floor plate size requirements of its varied program types and highlight the tower’s relationship with neighboring supertall landmarks, the Guangzhou West Tower and the Canton Tower. The chiseled setbacks also provide a crescendo to the city skyline.
Positioned as a crystalline form that ascends to the sky, the Centre features a terracotta facade attuned to the material’s history. Its shining finish evokes the bright white lines of its nearby companions, maintaining visual regularity while pushing its boundaries.
Rosewood Guangzhou sets a tone of sophistication and ambition with a striking facade designed. The interior space is designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the Chinese restaurant and bar are designed by Super Potato in Tokyo, and the Landscape is designed by P Landscape.
Offering the refined style and endless comfort of a private residence, Rosewood Guangzhou’s 251 rooms, including 31 suites and four duplex suites, set a new benchmark for luxury. Showcasing a striking blend of contemporary design and Chinese heritage, each beautifully appointed accommodation is a study in sophistication, while bespoke services and amenities further enhance the Rosewood experience.
With 7 restaurants and bars, the hotel’s 107-story, highest restaurant and bar in the country overlooks picturesque scenery. Perched on the 108th floor, China’s highest club lounge delivers personalized touches and exquisite food and beverage experiences. As the highest elevation club lounge in mainland China, the ultra-luxurious Manor Club affords inspired views from an open terrace as an added luxury.
The currently unopened Sense Spa, which occupies two floors, has 3 luxurious spa treatment suites, lounges, yoga rooms and 25-meter indoor swimming pools; the well-equipped fitness center offers international leading cardio and strength exercise equipment, and a variety of Fitness classes and activities.
Modern luxury tastes blend with Chinese cultural traditions, selected works of art and local specialties. Rosewood Guangzhou is a great example of the unique concept of Rosewood brand “A Sense of Place”.
