In between these two monuments, Scenario, an Italian hotel, is a 12-room boutique hotel in a 16th century building that formerly belonged to a religious congregation. It's on a side street and its door looks like an ordinary house, so it's easy for tourists to miss. However, just walk through the entrance and admire the meticulous work done on it by local design studio Morq.

Hotel Scenario is located in a golden location and has the right amount of privacy, and adopts the minimalist design. The hotel scene provides the perfect atmosphere for a quiet evening on the streets of Rome after a busy day. Even in Morq's interior design projects, they never consider interior space as independent, but as a continuation of urban space. This is what they do all the time, so entering the hotel in this situation still makes people feel like they are still walking through the historic center.

Many of the materials Morq used in the project were originally designed for outdoor Spaces. For example, in this case, terra-cotta was used for the entrance and public areas of the hotel. Another characteristic of them is to take full advantage of what a place already offers. The original structure of the hotel building was retained, and it is characterized by the difference in height between the first floor and the one below: in the past, the ceiling on the first floor was the highest, and as the upper floors were added, the ceiling got lower and lower.

Scenario Hotel has a total of three floors, each of which has a slightly different design but can provide a comfortable accommodation environment. The main staircase was retained, as were the wooden ceiling beams in some rooms, but they were painted in neutral colours to guide the design away from the rustic style. Overall, the dialogue inside is clean and basic, and Morq studio prefers not to define and distinguish between old and new ideas.
