Makhno Studio a rusting three-storey house to keep its owners away from the world. It was as if time stood still at this moment, without noise, without noise. Designers want to maintain integrity with nature. As if no one had ever set foot in it, this building appeared when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Nature lives in houses. The architects created a wild garden -- a two-storey mine with a glass ceiling that opens to the sky. The rails, floors and walls are perforated. In warm weather, ivy and wild grapes are woven into nets to give shade. Light also becomes a building material. It flows through the house, focusing on the volume.
Art became the emotional and semantic completion of the project. Three sculptures of non-standard geometry by contemporary Ukrainian artists balanced the volumes and made it holistic. They also show a ‘no-time’ conception. Because life is short, art is eternal.
