Nika Danielska
I have created sculptural costumes and clothing that can not be worn. My field of interest is the human body and the various forms it can take.
Nika Danielska is an alternative fashion designer living in Wroclaw, Poland. She creates wearable artistic objects based mainly on skeletal designs. She was part of the impressive new work coming out of Eastern Europe at that time. Nika Danielsk creates sculptural costumes and wearable art. Her maain focus is the body and all forms it can take. Her designs are often called exoskeletons due to her inspration in nature.
This unusual designer proposes accessory that remember elaborate bone-structures to be worn: necklaces, masks and stiff headgear that cage the body. Mainly realized with paper and wireframe to make the so complex structures also light. Nika's designs include corsets, collars, masks, spines and other pieces that, as someone said, "constrict and contort the body for the sake of fashion, they blur the lines between pain and couture with their frightening demeanor".
Nika’s work has been featured in several exhibitions worldwide, including individual shows in Amsterdam, London, and Prague, as well as group exhibitions in Russia, the USA, China, and Poland. In 2015, her work was showcased at the Costume Design at The Turn of The Century exhibition in Ireland. Nika’s innovative and unique designs have caught the attention of the fashion world and are becoming increasingly popular among fashion enthusiasts who appreciate unusual and avant-garde pieces.
