Maana Kyoto Hotel, designed and owned by Tokyo-based architect Nobuyuki Fujimoto, is housed in a 48-year-old building with well-defined fir and lattice timber facades. It was inspired by the work and ideas of Jurgen Lehl, the late German designer known for his use of organic textiles and sustainable materials. "This project aims to promote our guests to discover a new way of life through space, food, lifestyle products and services," Fujimoto explained.
