Mexican-based architecture and interior design studio PPAA, are very careful in their choice of materials, prefer to use raw and natural materials, and they are truly inspired by nature. The studio believes that form, materials, the way the building solves spatial problems, etc. should always follow and respond to the original intent or idea. Even before they start a project, they put in words what the architect wants to convey, what the project wants to create, and then translate it into an architectural form.

Alculco House is a small house located in Aculco, Mexico. It is a holiday home that is completely separated from the big city and integrated into nature, completely isolated from the world; it is a rest space surrounded by natural landscapes and connected to the natural environment. It is impressive because of its proximity to the cliffs. It is the most basic state that can be touched, and the most ideal resting place in the natural environment found in modern life.

The land was discovered on a rock-climbing trip by two brothers who love the outdoors, bought it and reforested it, and ordered construction a few years later. The architectural project is mainly guided by the quality of the environment, the designers tried to create a dialogue between the built and the natural environment.

The PPAA studio pursues simplicity, seeking minimal maintenance requirements and intimacy with the panorama and the land. The building is based on the site's solid stone walls, mud floors, wood and glass, all materials preserved in their natural state. With clean spaces, the building becomes a container for the landscape. On the other hand, the design team was challenged to work with minimal negative impact on the environment, while obtaining personnel services and materials in isolated locations.
