Thanks Giving Square Designed by Philip Johnson       Philip Johnson designed an entire park -- Thanksgiving Square (technically triangular) -- under the direction of a private-public commission to create a special place to nourish the spirit and take a break from decadent urban chaos. The attraction includes a bell tower, a 14-foot high "thank you ring" that looks like a giant gold wedding ring, lots of grass and elegant waterfalls, but the structure that will surprise you is a 58-foot spiral of white marble. It is dwarfed by the surrounding skyscrapers, but passers-by always keep their eyes on it and walk slowly. Thanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip JohnsonThanks Giving Square Designed by Philip Johnson
