Richard Zinon is a contemporary British artist whose abstract works explore elemental features of painting such as form and depth, figure and ground. Born in Manchester in 1985, Richard Zinon was drawn to Florence where he received his artistic training. Today he lives and works in Snowdonia in the UK.

Through contrasted brushstrokes, Richard Zinon portraits darkness and light using a gestural and effusive technique that highlights his Classical Art background. Inspired by the chiaroscuro technique of the Renaissance masters, Zinon skillfully plays with light and shadow to create a stunning sense of depth. However, his abstract paintings are at the same time free of any figuration or complex symbolism.
