Palazzo Caterina, a boutique hotel that masterfully combines the elegance of historical architecture with the sophistication of contemporary luxury, is delighted to announce its grand opening. Situated in a meticulously preserved early 19th-century building on Hvar Island’s main square, Palazzo Caterina offers a unique and immersive experience for discerning travelers and design enthusiasts alike.
Hvar, the most elite island and premier destination in Croatia, sets the perfect stage for Palazzo Caterina. Renowned for its vibrant cultural scene, stunning landscapes, and upscale ambiance, Hvar attracts visitors from around the globe who seek both relaxation and refinement. Nestled in the heart of this elite spot, Palazzo Caterina embodies the island's spirit of elegance and exclusivity.
The hotel’s design was expertly crafted by the renowned design duo Rôck&Villa, consisting of Paulo Valcic and Stefan Relic, who specialize in the rehabilitation of historical buildings. This project was particularly special to them, not only because of their professional expertise but also due to their personal connection to the location. Based in Mallorca, another beautiful island, Stefan and Paulo have long cherished Hvar as one of their favorite holiday destinations.
Each room is a harmonious blend of antique elegance and modern sophistication, featuring bespoke furnishings and state-of-the-art amenities. "Palazzo Caterina represents the perfect marriage of history and luxury," said Paulo Valcic of Rôck&Villa. "The beautiful surroundings and views from the windows overlooking the cathedral and the main square were the starting point of our inspiration. We began there and adapted the whole interior in response, creating a design that celebrates the natural beauty and historical significance of the location."
The hotel’s prime location offers guests unparalleled access to the vibrant cultural and social life of Hvar. Overlooking the main square and the iconic cathedral, Palazzo Caterina provides a picturesque backdrop that enriches the guest experience. The interplay between the historical exterior and the luxurious interior design creates a narrative that invites guests to explore the beauty of the past and the comforts of the present.
