This is the home of the owner, where the design strokes reveal not mere flattery but sincerity. Shiyu Design, with "natural art" as its fundamental tone, carefully places the owner's understanding of life—reading, relaxation, companionship with cats, and moments on the balcony—in a harmonious arrangement. The space is no longer a showcase of style, but a container for life, where every material and every hue evokes a sense of inner order and warmth.
Between the living room and the dining room, a long wooden dining table naturally serves as a divider, which not only defines the boundaries but also allows for air circulation. The table boasts a clear texture and a warm touch, serving as a stage for meals throughout the day and night, as well as an extension for reading and working. On one side, the white sofa rests like a cloud, gently colliding with the warm tones of natural wood. Set against the limestone floor, it exudes relaxation and inclusiveness. The kitchen is open, allowing the smoke and warmth of cooking to mingle freely with the chatter and laughter of life. The space is no longer an isolated room, but a flowing, shared daily space. Here, boundaries are softened, and life flows continuously.
All doors are chosen in Autumn Wave Blue - a color that embodies restraint and serenity. It is the lingering charm of seawater and the breath of mountain rocks, connecting various spaces and forming a unique visual identity. Every time a door is pushed, it marks a shift in mood, from public to private, from activity to stillness, with the gentle hue of cyan serving as a subtle reminder of boundaries. The exclusive door opening reserved for the kitten beneath the door leaf is the most gentle footnote in the design. It is not just a functional detail, but also a silent promise between the owner and the furry child: this home belongs to every inhabitant. The curvature and material details of the opening are also carefully considered, revealing a big meaning in the small.
A corner of the room is deliberately left undefined, solely for "relaxation". Whether sitting on the floor, curling up to read, or simply daydreaming, surrounded by the warmth of natural wood and the rustic elegance of stone, this space serves as an island where the body and mind can find respite. Here, time can be wasted with a clear conscience. The delicate texture of art paint, the roughness of travertine, the firmness of stone, and the warmth of raw wood - these four materials each have their own unique beauty, yet resonate harmoniously in the space. The designer refrains from excessive embellishment, allowing the materials to meet in their natural states. Through contrast and integration, a texture and aura of "natural art" is created.
A desk is placed in the bedroom, breaking the barriers of traditional functional zoning. Between morning and evening, reading and resting can be seamlessly switched. The art paint on the wall presents a delicate texture, and as light and shadow flow, it resembles a plain silk, providing a serene background for thinking and sleeping. A french window that can be opened, outlined with a distinctive red frame. It serves as the "eye of the painting" of the space - framing the four seasons of the balcony while also emanating warmth indoors. Amidst the natural tones of limestone and raw wood, this splash of red stands out like a poet, adding a touch of human warmth to the natural ambiance. When the window is opened, wind and light pour in, truly integrating the space with nature.
Qian Xiao - Home is a love letter that Shi Yu Design writes to life. The scenery within the red window frame, the warmth behind the blue door, the joy of shuttling through the cat door, the tranquility of the relaxation corner - these seemingly ordinary details are precisely what make a home a home. In this space, nature and art are not objects to be viewed, but everyday elements that can be touched and perceived.
