In a world of countless new restaurants, their untold stories often remain in the background, overshadowed by technical details. However, this project breaks the mold, placing the incredible journey and story at the forefront. Initiated by a London couple seeking a slower, craft-focused life, it's a unique dining experience embodying the Algarve's heritage and sustainability.
The project, named AUSTA, stands as a celebration of Algarve's heritage, craftsmanship, and natural beauty. It seamlessly blends traditional influences with modern functionality, inviting visitors to experience welcoming and sustainable spaces. The bespoke furniture, inspired by the region's geological wonders and skilled craftsmanship, infuses authenticity into the restaurant.
The design philosophy revolves around textures and colors derived from natural materials, paying homage to Algarve's pottery traditions. From individually cut stone floors to bespoke copper light pendants resembling seashells, each element tells a story, making AUSTA a unique blend of process, tradition, and thoughtful design.
