Casa Monterrey

As a generation of master architects, Tadao Ando left a unique and great vitality for the world. His works and the spirit behind them are eternal and irrepressible.. In 1995, Mr. Ando won the Pritzker Prize, architecture's highesthonor, by donating $100,000 to orphans after the 1995 Kobe earthquake.

Casa Monterrey, a house in Mexico designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, has a swimming pool jutting out from a hillside and concrete walls that frame views of the Sierra Las Mitras mountains. The house is built on a hillside, which allows the architects to create a space that allows various vertical and horizontal concrete plains to emerge from the landscape at different heights and locations.
