Music critic Camille Mowgli argued that the use of light in impressionist paintings was a symphonic extension of the theme in music. Impressionism seeks and gives people a feeling, not a thought. In other words, the image is not based on a fixed and restrained theme, but on a moment of inspiration in the designer's own mind.
The project is located in the CBD of Songshan Lake, Dongguan city. It is located in a prosperous place and at the intersection of three tracks, with superior educational and landscape resources. Since ancient times there has been "misty rain Pine mountain" laudatory name. This time, YuQiang & Partners is again experimenting with architectural, interior, and landscape planning in an ornate light-by-light game within a white-box building. Richard Meier once said, "White is a wonderful color that separates the building from the local environment." White is also the best reference to maximize the display of light and shadow. There is no object attached to the building other than its own member. The glass structure of the white facade, smooth and straight, looms over the water. The water body becomes the mirror plane reflecting the image of the building itself, and the light jumps between the water surface, glass and interior, bringing a mercury-like quality to the building.
The architectural concept is to create a "box game" of light into the space. The building block is like a box that is half opened. The interlacing openings of the roof are light and penetrating, connecting the interior space with the sunlight and forming an attractive gesture of dynamic stretch in the city. According to Mies van der Rohe, "the essence of life is the floor and the roof. The rest is proportion and nature." In a word: LESS. All the richness of change comes from outside. The presence of light, empathizing with nature, provides us with MORE.
The vertical space and natural light reflect on the building to achieve the effect of light and shadow. The existence of light reconstructs the invariable "inherent color" of the object, and the interdependent colors change into blurred image impression, which restates a fetters story of "light and color". The geometric form of the foundation has long occupied the high point of aesthetics. The interior formed by the extension of the architectural form is also full of the force and beauty of the geometric structure. The existence of deconstruction awakens a special aesthetic consciousness. We translate the abstract structure into simple and shocking geometric form, disassemble and misplace, and achieve the most comfortable fit. The things that have been neglected in the traditional aesthetic concept are emerging with a new visual sense. Light is not a description of the real thing, but in response to the circumstances, the expression of the moment, independent narrative.
Delicate, fluid, slightly erratic. From a distance, it is a mixture of many colors, but in fact, it is a subtle change of color in the landscape exposed to the light, which is reflected by interaction, dreamy, suggestive and elusive. From the entrance to the large area of the sand table space, we constantly break down the "sense of boundary" of the space. Based on the circular and rectangular contours as the inspiration, the effect of "rigid and soft isomorphism" is triggered after rotation combination and inclination scattered.
Art is the ornament of space. The process of appreciating it under specific circumstances is also the process of mutual recognition between designer and viewer. Mr. Tsai&Yoshikawa's sculptures are a mixture of abstract totems, refracted by light, and interwoven into a flower, unrestrained and out of touch with reality.
The ground in the sand table area is raised step by step to ensure that the viewer's line of sight is kept on the same level with the sand table, making the space appear stable and more "rational and balanced". Defining a place of atmosphere and balancing the "sense of domain" in it is the key to design thinking. We are in negotiating a region to follow the trend of the form, the flexible arrangement that carries on form, qualitative, color afresh soft outfit, the design gives a group to be able to receive, sit the sofa combination that rest, will highlight local special function.
The water bar area is cleverly extended vertically according to the moving line to continue the color of the main space. 5x10 pink solid wood strips are selected on the desktop to present a romantic and soft temperament, creating a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to rest. Beautiful texture, fine texture and massiness, marble is born with noble temperament. In the balance of density and spatial color, there is no longer the cold and forbidding, but a modest and gorgeous invitation.
The material is made of green marble with ground-based characteristics, just like a puff of green in Songshan Lake. The fine lines make it an excellent visual highlight of the space. The basis of aesthetics is that we need to create a "rule-free" environment with limited rules. The VIP room is one of the few places where colors jump. Curved metope refracted pink peculiar delicate soft beauty, lively force is multiplied, appeal is self-evident. With light as the "penetrating power", every little bit of paint will gradually become a unique brushstroke. The flowing colors create a multi-angle diffuse reflection environment, and a light atmosphere full of air will be born.
