“The nascence of a new life is reminiscent of a wondrous evolution, and shows us the magnificence and pulchritude of life.”
New Life
A new life is like the first ray of light at dawn and awakes the world with its boundless creativity.
As the automatic sliding doors slowly open, what comes into view is a delightful reception area.
’It’s the first maternal and neonatal care facility under the brand of Yunchushiyue in Xi'an and is designed by H DESIGN. The project is ensconced in a building featuring a traditional column-grid configuration. The designer ingeniously incorporates the biological principle of cell fission into the interior design and reconstructs the space layout through circles of varying sizes, breaking the sharpness and coldness of the right-angle space, softening the mood of the space itself, making it more gentle and relaxed, and creating rich aesthetic lines and spatial layers.
The ingenious integration of streamlined design and curvaceous elements effectively shatters the angularity and monotony of the original structure, guiding customers to meander freely within the circular movement trajectory. The sinuous wall not only fashions an organic spatial framework but also connects diverse functional zones, attaining harmony among the wall, floor and ceiling.
The chromatic composition of the space is dominated by effervescent red, which, in tandem with the circular curvilinear surface, forges the tension of the entire spatial receptacle. The mammoth contrast and guidance of the hues visually and psychologically etch exquisite moments on customers, stimulating the convalescent sentiment deep within their hearts.
Growth
Growth is a quiet journey in the protracted river of time, reticent yet steadfast.
The universe of chameleons is resplendent and multihued. This arcane reptile is acclaimed for its unique capacity of chromatic transformation. They are capable of swiftly changing their corporeal coloration in consonance with the milieu, emotions or even needs of communication.
Traditional maternal and neonatal care tends to ignore emotional needs and changes of customers. Thus, the designer draws inspiration from chameleons, expeditiously improves the emotions of customers via chromatic modifications, and changes the color from the ebullient red of the reception area to the placid cream of the resting space. We feel and cater to the psychological needs of customers, spanning from effervescence to relaxation, fashioning a serene and pacific space where customers can utterly decompress.
Care
Care is like a warm ray of sunshine that penetrates the cold haze and illuminates the deep corners in the heart.
Postpartum rehabilitation is a gradual journey. To enable customers to fully adapt to the new roles and new life they are given, providing a spacious private space and a quiet leisure area is the core element in the design of the postpartum space. Hence, it is of vital importance to ensure the functionality and privacy of the design. The designer elaborately plans a variety of room types to satisfy different demands and scenarios of customers. With ingenious space layout and smooth movement lines, the postpartum space is positioned at the end of the corridor, effectively dividing the dynamic and static areas, guaranteeing the privacy of the rehabilitation environment, and offering customers an ideal postpartum space.
Hoping that the spatial atmosphere can exert an oblique impact on people's psychological state, the designer made meticulous and refined choices of materials. Wood-grain tiles, terrazzo, artistic paint, and bionic wire acrylic panels engender all manifestations of the space to incline towards nature, thereby realizing the design concept of symbiosis between people and nature.
In light of the aesthetics of modern architectural space and initiating from the spiritual stratum, this extraordinary period is moulded into a succinct but gratifying vacation, conferring spiritual consolation on users.
