ARRCC

SAOTA Architects in South Africa, their sister company ARCCC Interior Design, an interior design brand that once served SAOTA Architects. When ARRCC was founded as Antoni Associates in 1996, it was in answer to the need for a focused interior studio for the architecture firm SAOTA. Our portfolio of successful projects over the past decades has created a solid foundation for expanding the range of projects globally. We re-branded as ARRCC in 2015, the new name reflects the consolidation into a strong and independent brand.

ARRCC is now co-led by Mark Rielly, Jon Case and Michele Rhoda. Mark Rielly joined SAOTA in 1997 as a project architect and played an important role in setting up ARRCC. In 2004, he became a partner of the company. For Mark, anything that can be visualised has the potential to be realised. Designing, to him, is the epitome of such dreaming – a profession that allows him to present a uniquely curated vision for every project.

ARRCC possesses a big-picture vision of design, their interiors demonstrating a Modernist approach with eclectic influences. Striking details and intricate layering are signatures of their visual language, which, at the same time, maintains a pared-back simplicity.

As a leading interior design firm in South Africa, ARRCC create considered and engaging interiors at the leading edge of design. Working closely with clients, they distil and transform their briefs to exceed original expectations. They believe in life-enhancing spaces that reflect both client and location, and through their refined approach to design, have developed a style focused on detail and substance.

    • Glen Villa

ARRCC Director Jon Case said: "Introducing the natural energy of Table Mountain in an urban environment inspired us to create an 'urban resort'.
    • Glyfada Apartment

This five-unit seafront apartment building, designed by SAOTA with interior architecture by ARRCC, is located in the southern suburbs of Athens at the gateway to the Athens Riviera.
    • Parama House

The apartment might appear as an enclosed unit, complete in itself, but it remains open to its context, whether the sparkling lights of the marina and the yachts on the water, or the broader artistic identity of the precinct.
    • Rose Villa

In the lush green valley below Table Mountain in one of Cape Town's oldest and most beautiful areas, SAOTA and ARRCC worked together to design this large and solid home for a large family.
    • Silver Pine

The public character of Silver Pine House provides a contemporary interpretation of the architectural character of the city.
    • South Villa

South Villa is a five-story penthouse in the award-winning Clifton Terraces apartments on Victoria Road, Cape Town.
    • Lake Huron House

Conceptually, the design consists of a series of stacked and suspended rectangular boxes, one embedding the building into the ground plane, the other suspended overhead to allow the living level to exist between the volumes.
    • Cheetah Plains Lodge

The Plains Houses are made up of clusters of free-standing buildings carefully arranged to accommodate existing natural features such as trees, typography and views – thereby minimising intrusion into the landscape.
    • Hillside View House

Tucked away in a leafy suburb in Cape Town stands a statement-making home, not only for the modern, glass-fronted architecture but more so for it’s vibrant interiors. For local design studio ARRCC, who executed the project, it was the homeowner’s affinity for colour – and a multitude of materials that informed the creative journey.
    • White House

Located in a luxury residential estate in Cape Town's Constantia Valley, this home exudes self-assured sophistication through a minimalist approach.
    • Benguela Cove

Nature pervades the house, the seamless flow of internal floors and ceilings out into external living spaces is mirrored by the fynbos planting which stalks the edges of the internal envelope, enfolds the terraces and decks and seeps into the garden courtyard.
