Ariel Okin is the founder of her eponymous firm, Ariel Okin Interiors in 2018 based in New York, where she designs luxury residential and unique commercial properties.  

A graduate of Columbia University and George Washington University, Ariel Okin began taking on small projects for friends while working at a day job in public affairs; after the first project or two, she quickly realized she had found her calling. Her mother is an interior designer and worked in fashion when she was a child, so she grew up around color, pattern and fabrics her entire life. It wasn’t until she started designing on her own that she realized this was a career that she was extremely passionate about.

Ariel has developed a reputation for creating refined, elegant spaces with a focus on interesting textures and clean lines. And she loves when art becomes the focal point of a room, and personally gravitates toward mixed media, large scale photography, impressionist and abstract artwork.

Ariel Okin is often inspired by Designers and icons of eras past such as Billy Baldwin, Nancy Lancaster, Mario Buatta, Lee Radziwill, Estée Lauder — She loves the way their rooms still hold up in such a classic and sophisticated manner all these years later. She always strives to create a timeless sensibility in her own projects, and she also finds a lot of inspiration in nature.
