GOMA:We try to have a sensitive approach towards the context, and the feelings the house will produce to this family

Yinjispace:Your design has a strong geometric style. How do you form that with the sense of poetry? There is a geometry?

GOMA:In every project that “feels right” this geometry is arranged in a unique way for every house were space is defined and lets light inside, and at the same time, achieves the programming and functionality. It is like a math equation that solves everything, including the feelings.

GOMA:We learned kind of the hard way (still learning), by getting opportunities to build since the beginning, building is the best teacher, and also the toughest. Our turning point seems to be related to getting closer to a mental freedom, by knowing more and fearing less, we can express more freely

Yinjispace:How do you think Mexican architecture’s international influence nowadays?

GOMA:From our perspective, México as a developing country where there is much to be done, the richness in culture, nature and its weather; this ingredients make a rich environment for the architecture that is being produced.
