AW Design is a diversified space design research office founded by Mr. Ding Pengwen who was born after 1990. AW Design means you and me, with the meaning of calling on more young people who love design to speak out for the youth design power of China. Our design scope covers small commercial space, high-end customized private space, from interior design to product design, brand planning, exhibition planning and so on, we will explore and study with the designer's original heart.Yinji: Young designers are the mainstay of design in the circle. How did you start your design path? What do you want for your future?
Ding: College majors have been in orbit since the beginning of the internship, and will remain so until there is no major that I am more passionate about. The promise of the future is to design well, to do different design than others.

Yinji: Although Nanjing is the ancient capital of six dynasties, its design is very young and has gathered a group of energetic young designers. What do you think about the future of design in Nanjing?
Ding: In the future, the regionalization of design will be weakened. It doesn't matter if there is Nanjing in the design, but it will be more important if there is ourselves in the design. The rise of a group of Nanjing designers with themselves in the design will be the rise of Nanjing design.

Yinji: You come from the north, grew up in Jiangsu and Hubei, and studied there. Why did you choose Nanjing as your working base?
Ding: Because family relationships are predestined.Yinji: Is there any special meaning to the studio's name?
Ding: AW Design, it is a kind of macro inclusive, this world is not you and me. The micro, it is a kind of rhetoric lie somewhere in between. Both two self-understood as monomer, is the difference between the inner attributes of self-confrontation, is the contradiction of the perceptual and the rational, is a kind of true, tangle, contradictory and interdependent. It is also hoped that more young people can be gathered to look at this career from the first perspective and work together to cheer for China's young design power.

Yinji: As a representative of the post-90s generation, do you think there are no shortcuts to design? What advice do you have for new designers?
Ding: There are no shortcuts. Read more, see more, walk more, trace more, do less representation design.
