What do you want for your future?
Li:I've been working as an artist for a couple of years since I graduated from university. I've been working in photography and installation for five years. After that, I came into contact with design, and found that design could make me continue to think and keep my works, so I started my way of design. For the future, I hope I can design more interesting buildings and Spaces for more cities, and make every city with my design more lovely.

Yinjis: I really appreciate the unique temperament of hangzhou designers, and they can generally feel the imprint of feelings in their works. Does the local environment in Hangzhou influence your design to some extent?
Li:The soil of Hangzhou has nurtured many poems, music, paintings and unique culture around it. The corresponding climate, environment and cultural atmosphere have a great influence on my design, which gives me the space and time to think independently and explore new things.

Yinji: You studied oil painting in China Academy of Fine Arts. Are your current designs influenced by oil painting?
Li: Oil painting is just a tool, just like a broom. But studying oil painting at the Academy of Fine Arts has taught me how to look at the world and helped me find my own way of looking at the world.

Yinji: Every space you have is a story jumping around. Every time you start designing, how do you get inspired?
Li: For a creator, inspiration is something that happens every day. Every time I create a space, I just put some of my previous inspirations into it. The difference is whether the space is suitable for me to do it.

Yinji: We noticed that in your works, furniture and lamps are all designed by yourself. Could you tell us your thoughts on product design?
Li: Product design is a hobby for me. When I think about space for a long time, I will come up with an interesting sofa cabinet or two as a recreational activity. So I have a lot of furniture lighting design sketches.
