© 粤ICP备19077098号Between the Java Sea and the Indian Ocean, an almost diamond-shaped island, along with many other islands, extends from northwest to east, forming the boundary of the ocean, which is the "Island of the Gods" praised Bali. Long before the spread of Hinduism across the sea, the people of Bali have always believed in the gods of nature, sun, water, fire, wind, mountains, and sea, all of which are closely related to their daily life.
On the island, all things have spirits. No matter the traditional courtyard (pekarangan) residential style, sculpture, literature, dance, art, or a long history of human precipitation, religious belief, such worship and reverence for nature naturally formed the sustainable ecological concept of harmonious coexistence with nature, and clearly reflected the physical characteristics of tropical island climate. And strong regional style.

Design Exchange
Maximilian Jencquel, founder of Studio Jencquel, takes inspiration from the different cultures of South America, North America, Europe and Southeast Asia to embark on a poetic co-creation journey with his clients, both visually and sensually. Each building is a continuation of a dialogue with nature, combining modern and simple lines with the temperature of traditional craftsmanship. He specializes in using natural materials, such as bamboo, wood and stone, to integrate buildings with the environment, creating Spaces that are both sculptural and peaceful. Jencquel's work is not only a functional exploration, but also an expression of philosophy - in architecture, he constructs a silent narrative between man and nature, past and future, art and life.
Maurizio Moeis, the Italian-born founder of Bada Studio, blends modern architectural aesthetics with natural elements, focusing on sustainability and eco-friendly principles. His works are simple and sculptural, emphasizing the flow of space and the texture of materials, and he is good at constructing artistic and functional Spaces. He is not only an architect, but also an artist, often using architecture to express emotions and aesthetics, aiming to create spatial experiences that resonate with us.
Blanco Studio founder Conchita Blanco spent most of her early life in Bali before moving to Australia. The granddaughter of the famous Spanish painter Don Antonio Blanco and Balinese dancer Ni Rondji, Conchita has been steeped in creative culture and art education since childhood.
Nataneka Arsitek, co-founded by Kendro Priyoso & Jeffry Sandy, is dedicated to designing architectural works that are deeply integrated with the environment and culture. His work is simple and modern, while cleverly incorporating natural elements and local materials, showing respect for sustainability and tradition. Each building conveys a deep understanding of light, shadow and material in the details and spatial layout, and strives to integrate with the surrounding landscape, pursuing a poetic and peaceful aesthetic conception.
Orin Hardy is a renowned bamboo educator and architect in Bali, dedicated to exploring the new possibilities of space and leading people to learn how to integrate sustainability into their lives. Maverick Lee is a self-taught designer who moved to Bali from Singapore 30 years ago and settled there after being drawn to the island's creative atmosphere and abundance of natural materials. He focuses on the use of raw materials and emphasizes the connection between the creative process and the final product. Lee's work has a unique personality and distinct character, while bringing warmth and lightness to the space, reflecting the harmonious relationship between space and nature. His creation is not only a visual presentation, but also has the power of freedom and healing.
