Covered in ivy and set amongst the high-rise buildings of Auckland, the Northern Club has been a landmark since its completion in 1867. Through the years it has been a prestigious setting for networking, relaxing and entertaining.
The project uses a rich palette of mottled tones,to successfully blur the line between interior and exterior, heritage and contemporary, old world and modernity. The ultimate space that will captivate a new generation of clients to this long-standing Auckland institution.
James Russ has been working alongside Cheshire Architects to create a collection of eclectic glass pendants. Each light is made from machined brass and handblown glass, melded together to create a canopy of warm inviting light. Honey Onyx glows in the centre of each pendant, warming the glass and casting a soft hue onto diners below.
