Two different characters with a clear style come together in this apartment, the interior designer Claes and the television pro Johan. It became an interior that creates new behaviors.
It was the space and the unspoiled Art Nouveau interior that aroused the interior designer Claes Dalén's and his partner Johan Pråmell's interest. The large corner apartment is located a few floors up in a turn of the century house a stone's throw from Östermalmstorg. From the hall opens the floor as a fan with living room to the left, the dining room straight ahead and to the right kitchen as well as the secluded bedroom section with large balcony facing the courtyard.
The ceiling height and period features such as wall panels, stucco and roof rosettes give the rooms an atmosphere of lingering century-old serenity. From the guest toilet, a characteristic oval window opens onto the street. In the dining room, the cone-shaped original lamp cups in crystal remain in the ceiling.
"We were looking for something that was not refurbished and this apartment had exactly the qualities we were looking for," says Claes. Many floors have become so functional. We wanted big social spaces and not a lot of bedrooms. ”
