© 粤ICP备19077098号Amsterdam-based ceramicist Laura Pasquino is dedicated to "spherical design" based on a natural aesthetic, inspired by the forces and forms of nature. Before opening her studio in the Netherlands, she studied and practiced ceramics in Japan and Portugal.
Laura Pasquino always leaves her handmade traces in her works, expressing her inner self through the texture of clay and subtle organic differences. This not only gives the pieces a soul but also reflects her authentic feelings in the moment of creation. Her goal is to give her work personality, not to strive for perfection.
Featuring flaws and cracks, Pasquino’s curvaceous pieces emphasize the imperfection and asymmetry that defines them, highlighting their allusion to nature through earthy colors and textures. Kept raw and somewhat primitive, they are nostalgic and poetic, conveying an unobtrusive, quiet beauty and spontaneity.
Jacob Brinth and Alice Delsenne, hailing from Denmark and France, respectively, crossed paths in Copenhagen in 2015, and are now married together and living in France. Both with educational backgrounds in product design, they now seek to articulate their reflections on space and products through photography.
In 2018, they established NUE Studio, specializing in furniture and interior design. Initially focusing on photographing their own design projects, they soon expanded to collaborate with architects, designers, design brands, galleries, and more. In 2021, they settled in France, opening a studio with clients spanning across European cities such as Paris, Milan, Brussels, London, and beyond.
With a keen insight into minimalism, they consistently pursue the perfection of details and composition presented through photography. During their time in Denmark, Jacob Brinth and Alice Delsenne explored the art of shaping and combining objects in space. Their works resemble classic paintings with chiaroscuro effects, exuding a mysterious allure that captivates the audience.
Contemporary lacquer installation artist Sun Wenjia has long been devoted to the study of the diversified forms of lacquer, constantly expanding the boundaries of lacquer art. He has spontaneously come into contact with lacquer in the form of "playfulness", a process he describes as "a kind of experiment", as if searching for some kind of local identity for himself.
For Sun Wenjia, the transition from oil painting to lacquer creation was itself a huge challenge. He often had to be honest about his feelings in the moment while painting, but he found a delayed satisfaction in painting. From life to art, the work has always outlined the shape of time.
