Situated in the bustling Bahnhofsviertel district of Frankfurt, Germany, the Ameron Frankfurt Hotel occupies a row of four early 20th-century former villas. The luxury rooms and public areas of the hotel were designed by Competition Studio, while the interior was partly designed by Italian designer Luigi Fragola, which combines art deco style with classical elegance and modern lightness.
The mix can be seen in the palatial lobby of the hotel, which has pale blue surfaces and wooden parquet floors. Red and yolk-yellow velvet furniture adorns the room, complemented by brass-edged tables and glass lamps.
Similar colors and materials are used in the 133 rooms, some of which have large portholes overlooking the surrounding Frankfurt streets. Calacatta oro marble was used to make bathroom sinks and herringbone shower stalls. The room is also decorated with a series of artworks specially designed by artist Celena Ohmer.
The restaurant on the ground floor, Le Petit Royal Frankfurt, has a cozy feel. Gold wallpaper covers almost every surface of the room, while some Windows are inlaid with amber glass. The cushioned booth seats nearly 80 diners, who can order steaks, seafood and seasonal vegetables from the French menu.
