To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Evidens de Beaute opened its first facial and hair beauty space in Paris, commissioning the project to interior designer Emmanuelle Simon. This unique setting, conceived as a private interior space, demonstrates the dual influence of France and Japan through the intersection of two worlds.
Spa La Maison is an airy and elegant space that balances a range of realistic materials such as sandblasted furniture, Japanese Raku ceramics, Hainaut's blue stone, polished metal and brushed brass. As a result, the material's texture and natural colours contrast sharply with the purity of the building's lines.
The rough stones of the central island, carved into the rock, are reminiscent of Japanese gardens. A suspended platform is reinforced with rice paper boards. Sconces on either side warm the space with soft golden light. A canopy of light spreads along a driftwood tree trunk that runs through the stairs. People are drawn to this perspective and are invited into an archway to enter the nursing area.
The different levels of variation suggest an invitation to intimacy and serenity. The ceremony takes place in the cabin, which is further dramatized by a solid wood screen showing a subtle horizon of light. This idea of experience is fundamental to the work of Emmanuelle Simon, whose talent breathes life into a world of feeling that is both strange and exquisite.
