The New World Center is a concert hall in the South Beach section of Miami Beach, Florida, designed by Frank Gehry. It is home to the New World Symphony Orchestra and has a capacity of 756 seats. It opened in January 2011. The building is located on a block north of Lincoln Road in South Beach South in Miami Beach, with a new 2.5-acre public park next to it. At the heart of the New World Center is a flexible, technologically advanced 756-seat performance hall with a huge acoustic reflection 'sail' that surrounds the sound of the audience and also serves as a video projection surface.
