Hearth Architects, a well-known Japanese architecture firm, was set up in 2016 by architect Yoshitaka Hisato. He is good at coordinating the relationship between architecture, site and nature, and cleverly integrating the concept of "natural environment" into the daily household living environment.

According to Yoshitaka Hisi, a "simple space that is close to people and nature and integrates into daily life" can be called a "spiritually rich residence". Therefore, the exterior of Kumiyama house is not too much decoration, but as much as possible to show its dignified posture, interior convenient lines, reasonable layout, space profile relationship are all carefully considered. While ensuring the necessary functions, it removes the superfluous material and creates a kind of "artistic conception of white space", which together constitute the deep scene and quality space of nature.

Architectural design is an act of considering boundaries. For this reason, it is very important to consider the "depth of connections and boundaries" between spaces. For example, Japanese houses have always had a variety of semi-outdoor spaces (intermediate areas) at the boundaries between the inside and outside, such as veranda, under the eaves, on the street, and in tsuboniwa gardens, and there were various ways of dividing spaces, such as lattices and shoji screens. These intermediate areas and partitions, which are suited to the Japanese climate, give spaces "various connections and a sense of depth" and enrich people's lives.
