Although Australia has been relatively fortunate in the pandemic lockdown compared to the rest of the world, the negative effects of endless restrictions are still felt across the country. A desire for beauty and multisensory inspiration that could only be conveyed through live events.
Rhythm of Nature, a collaboration between Armadillo and British design studio House of Grey, brings the experience of living, reconnects the rhythms of Nature and reinforces the philosophy of design space. It was an immersive event inspired by their shared concept of designing Spaces to foster a gentle pace of living.
The carpet is displayed in a highly conceptual natural setting surrounded by soft beach slopes, haystacks and soil, feathery flowers hanging from the ceiling, extensive meadows and bright pools. On a continuous journey through multiple terrains, people slow down and yield to five of these carpets.
Shot by award-winning Australian director Glendyn Ivin, it captures moving landscapes and tactile experiences in a way that feels like an immersive experience. Accompanied by soothing acoustic music, this experience is designed to stabilize the rhythm of daily life, harmonize with the rhythms of nature, and give the viewer a sense of calm.
